About Tia Lynn Design
Hello! My name is Tiffany. I'm a librarian by day, but a crocheter and color-lover by night. I've always love arts and crafts, but my love of yarn came from my grandmother. She taught me how to do a simple granny square when I little, and that's all I did for years.
I didn't learn how to read patterns until much later, instead I learned by looking at photos or finished projects, counting the stitches, and examining each stitch and experimenting to try to re-create it. I knew what the basic stitches were, and what they looked like. I'm skilled at reading crochet charts, but it took me a while to figure out written patterns. I finally figured out how to read patterns better after making my first Sophie's Universe From there, I just haven't put down my hook. I love helping others, and that's where my Facebook Group, Yarn Color Boards, came into play. I saw people asking things like "Which colors do I use that go with my living room? Here's a photo!" It wasn't enough to just tell them the colors, they wanted to know exact colorways and brand of yarn. I used to make color boards on Canva, but now I use Microsoft Publisher or Powerpoint. I compare the photo to popular yarn brands and pick out the most prominent colors. If you'd like to help me out, I do accept donations and gifts. Below is my wishlist and a link to Paypal, but if you'd like to send other things, let me know using the form below! |
